With the Winter season in full swing and Christmas ahead, most of the people in United States are packing their bags to reach their close acquaintances or family members in other countries or cities. A analysis was made by taking 20,000 tweets of various twitter users to determine how people are traveling in this season and reserving hotels.

Here are the top preference of the people heading to different places during the winter season:

Top airlines chosen by the travelers are delta, Virgin, JetBlue, South West and American Airlines.

With a sample size of 358 tweets, it was determined that most of the travelers have booked their flights from Orbitz, Expedia and priceline.com.

The top train lines chosen by the American travelers for this winter season includes Amtrak, CTA, MTA and SEPTA.

Based on a sample size of 7, 317 tweets related to hotels, most of them have preferred Starwood, Hilton, Marriott, IHG (Intercontinental hotel group) and choice international hotels for accommodation.
