Stats of Dui Pennsylvania

Pennsylvania is at 4th position in the DUI (Driving under the influence) arrests for the year 2010. From the year 2000, every year more than 50,000 people were arrested in Pennsylvania with main reason as driving under the influence (DUI).

In the year 2010, for every 100,000 Pennsylvania citizens more than 412.5 individuals were arrested due to DUI. In Pennsylvania, the legal limit for BAC is 0.08% and for individuals under 21 years, the limit is 0.02%.

There has been 42.6% increase in the DUI arrests in Pennsylvania from 1995 to 2010 and 76.5 % of individuals arrested under DUI are males. In the state, 33% of all traffic related deaths are due to DUI.

The Pennsylvania commission of crime has classified the DUI in to three levels of impairments that includes General impairment, high and highest impairment. If the BAC (Blood alcohol content) ranges between 0.08 % – 0.99%, then the DUI is classified as general impairment.
