Common Time Wasters at Work

There are several activities that are mostly encouraged by employees working for an organization to waste their working time. According to survey conducted by Timedoctor, talking and chatting with the co-workers at work place is the 1st biggest time waster.

Every day 64% of employees, visit sites that are not related to work during the working time. Out of total working hours, most of the employees spend 1.2 hours per week on social media sites, waste 0.56 hours per week by playing online games , 0.22 hours is wasted per week for instant messaging and 0.21 hours time is wasted every week for streaming online audio and video.

When surveyed 37% of employees felt that half of time in meeting is wasted with irrelevant discussions and 6.67% employees thought that meeting will aid them in increasing productivity. While being at work place, 39% spend less than 1 hour to navigate through their personal site or blog, 29% individuals spend 1 -2 hours from the weekly working hours.
