Causes of Working More Hours

Working more than 40 hours a week has several averse impacts. In America, 3 of 4 members work for more than 40 hours per week. 55% of them work more than 50 hours a week even they do not like the job profile.

In 1960, 8 of 10 American children had only one working parent. But in 2012, only 3 out of 10 children have their parent stay in homes. Even though, the working parents feel that they earn low.

In the US, employees work 46 hours a week. But in Denmark and Sweedon its 31 hours of work. However, in German, Norway and the Netherlands its just 27 hours a week. Therefore, 3 of 4 Americans feel stressed at work.

Overworking causes mental and physical health problems. It leads to obesity and depression for the employees. Overall productivity will declines when compared to 40 hours a week working method.
