How to Prevent Internet Scams

Internet is not only a boon of the 21st century, it is also an easy source for scams and fraudulent practices.

The cyber crime department has received the most number of complaints this year since its inception. This has resulted in the loss of  significant amounts of money to internet users.

The commonest type of complaints are non-delivery of payment on online payment gateways, FBI related scams, identity theft, spams, credit card fraud and auction fraud. 25% more men succumb to frauds as compared to women.

Senior citizens are more targeted than others. USA stands first in the list of origin of internet fraud. 66% of cyber frauds originated in the USA.
