Here’s a chart that will tell you who is a better runner? According to the National Runner Survey 2011,  most men and women began running to stay in shape and maintain health. More women than men spent more than $100 on buying running wear.

According to the survey most women prefer to run half marathons as compared to shorter distances; while many men preferred either short distance running or full marathons.

Among women the average demographics were 38 years while it was 43 years for men. Among college students, more women took to running than men while among married couples, men ranked marginally higher than the women.

Last, but not he least, it was found that men derived more satisfaction of losing weight than women after taking up running.
