Death penalty is the top controversial issue in present world, some countries follow this death penalty and most of countries oppose its implementation. The most common methods that used in death penalty include injecting lethal injections, electric chairs with a voltage of 500 to 2,000 volts, using gas chamber, hanging and firing squad.

The death penalty was executed form the year 1976 and a record of 98 death penalties were implemented in the year 1999. in most of death penalties executed, 56% defendants are of white race and 35% are from black race.

Since 1973, over 130 people were released from death on providing proper evidences like DNA testing during the execution of death penalty.
