According to the latest estimates for Internet Users by Language from Internet World Stats, the language 565 million people use is English.

Out of  the total 2,099 million internet users by language, more than 500 million users opt for Chinese, 164 million for Spanish and 99 million for Japanese. Apart from the top ten languages, the rest of languages together constitute for more than 350 million internet users.

German language has seen a whopping 2501.2 % increase from the year 2000. In this regard, next is Russian which has seen the increase of 1,825.8% and Chinese with 1,478.7 %. Although the English speaking population is more in number, it is the German speaking people who have the highest internet penetration by language with 79.5%.
