It is estimated that there can be almost 1.65 million new cases of cancer in men and women this year. In total, 340,650 people may get affected by cancers of genital system out of which 251,900 will be men and 88,750 will be women. Other major culprits are cancers of respiratory and digestive systems which can account for 244,180 and 284,680 cases this year, respectively.

In 2011, the estimated cases were 1.59 million of which genital system cancers contributed about 338,620, respiratory system cancers about 239,320 and 244,180 digestive system cancers.
