The total number of deaths estimated to happen in the year 2012 is about 577,190 including both the sexes. The deaths of 91,110 men and 73,660 women may occur due to cancer of respiratory system. Digestive system cancer is another culprit which may take the lives of .15 million men and women in 2012.

The total number of deaths expected this year is somewhat higher than the last year which was estimated about 571,950. This is mainly because the estimated deaths from respiratory system cancer and digestive system cancer have increased.
